So, I was approaching a red light on my bike, slowing down gradually. The car at the front of the line wanted to turn right, and when the light turned green, he waited courteously (as most drivers do) for me to clear the intersection. As I passed him, I heard a voice from behind yelling: "Does he see us? DOES HE SEE US?" Not wanting to take my eyes off the road, I waited until I cleared the intersection before turning around to find a fellow biker, who explained to me that "if he doesn't see me, he's going to hear me." I chuckled to myself, since it was me that he nearly frightened into doing something dangerous. That's when the fun started:
Him (in that happy-go-lucky, too-peppy-for-7am, patronizing voice that bikers love): SO...where are you headed this morning?
Me (in my best grouchy voice): Just headed to work.
Him: That's great! Where's that at?
Me: Pacific Highway (literally, about a hundred yards away at this point)
Him: Cool! I'm headed to the post office!
As he passed me, I got a full glimpse of his wardrobe, and he was dressed something like this guy (side note: who puts pictures of themselves like this on Flickr?):

Did he expect to get some sort of discount at his destination for wearing team colors? Is the post office even open before 8am? Did this guy know that being in a post office is one of the most depressing things in the world to? Fortunately, by the time I had formulated these thoughts, he and I had parted ways. Oh, the fun!
